The PAAMCO (Pre-Award, Award Management and Conflict of Interest (COI)) project continues to make progress. The project team recently completed user testing and launched user training this month.
Several training resources for PAAMCO are now available online. Users can review a user guide on proposal development and proposal tracking. The guide can be found here. Two eLearning videos have also been made available on Learn@Work.
The PAAMCO team also held its first two in-person training sessions on March 19, covering the topics of budget and routing and advanced submissions and proposal tracking. Additional in-person training sessions are scheduled for March and April. A schedule of upcoming sessions can be viewed here.
Currently, 300 users are being trained in the new management system to ensure an effective transition. Additionally, each department will have a super user that can provide specialized support in navigating the new system.
As training continues in the next few weeks, the project takes the step to the goal of delivering a more integrated and comprehensive research management system for the WashU community. With the launch of the new management system, faculty, department, school and staff will see an improved ability to collect and analyze data and reduce the administrative burden managing WashU’s pre-award, award management and conflict of interest (COI) activities.
